Windows
The name Alexander Sturrock is synonymous with the very best timber windows in the country.
We are renowned for our high specification timber sash and case windows, however we manufacture all types of wooden windows.
Mock sash and case windows have all the appearances of the traditional variety but fitted with fully reversible or top hung hinges.
Our H-Type windows are fully reversible to allow for easy cleaning.
Casement windows can be either top or side hung as required. Tilt and Turn windows open inwards and can either tilt from the top for ventilation or swing open into the room from the side.
We can also manufacture any style or shape of specialist window including crittall-replacement, oriel, oval-eye, arched top, curved on plan, purpose designed for fire escape situations … nobody has more experience in meeting specialist window specifications than Alexander Sturrock.

Doors
Internal and external, coming in all shapes and sizes, all Alexander Sturrock’ doors are manufactured to the highest quality standards from the finest timbers, hand-selected to reflect the individual demands of every project.
We manufacture both traditional and contemporary doors including raised and fielded doors, glazed doors, flat panel and one-piece and each piece of timber is carefully checked for flaws and shakes to avoid stress fractures during machining or after installation.
Before leaving our workshop, if specified our doors are painted to provide a high quality, long lasting finish that provides long lasting protection while allowing the timber to move and breathe. In line with our environmental policies, solvent based paints are only used if specifically requested by the client.
