We work closely with our client’s architects and interior design consultants to manufacture the very best doors available, with an attention to the very smallest of detail – providing a truly unique solution.

All Alexander Sturrock’ doors are manufactured to the highest quality standards from the finest timbers, hand-selected to reflect the individual demands of every job. Each piece is carefully checked for flaws and shakes to avoid stress fractures during machining or after installation.

We produce both external and internal doors and door screens for private and commercial clients. Our craftsmen have a wealth of experience in the finest techniques including cabinet making and book-matching veneers.

Before leaving our factory, if requested our doors are treated with water based microporous paints and lacquers to provide a high quality, long lasting finish that provides lasting protection while allowing the timber to move and breathe. In line with our environmental policies, solvent based paints are only used if specifically requested by the customer.

We have particular expertise in replicating timber doors for historic or listed properties. These can include storm doors, entrance doors, fan-lights, door screens, door-sets, internal doors, raised and fielded multi-panel doors.

Alexander Sturrock use only the finest materials in the construction of our doors. Timbers include: American and European oak, meranti, American Black Walnut, Sapele and American Tulip Wood.

Our finishing department can also provide a truly unique solution, techniques include: lacquering, spray-painting, hand-painting, staining and liming.

We can also source the finest ironmongery to compliment your beautiful doors, providing a sense of finesse and lasting functionality to your finished door.
